The photos you see here are of Lake Argyle in the West Australian Kimberley region. We were on a sunset cruise and these photos are from a moving boat. I just love how the waves formed a symmetrical pattern in the water.

I was undecided about this photo of these trees at Wyaralong Dam. I wasn’t able to work out if my expectations of this location, the forecast high clouds that didn’t eventuate (read colour producing clouds) at sunset have tainted my thoughts on this photos or not. Now, I very much like this photo. I hope you do also.
From my experience, there are two types of people that frequent this particular lookout. The first group are the couples looking to soak up a beautiful sunset with their picnic rugs, charcuterie boards and Rosé Champagne.
The second are photographers, like myself, feeling like I am intruding and very much the third wheel. But also hungry, very hungry after looking at the delicious food people are eating.
There were clouds and they were high but on the horizon the clouds were low and blocking out the setting sun. I set myself up on the headlands with some yellow flowers in the foreground and waited patiently for the sun to set. And with the very last few clicks of the camera I managed to get this sunset photo.
