Big country town

from $30.00

This photographic adventure was to the base of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, along the Brisbane River. It was before dawn, so it was dark. The foot path was dimly lit, with lots of people doing their early morning exercise. Some were running, some walking while others were preparing to climb the cliffs once the sun came up.

I had not taken photos at this specific location before, so I was walking slowly trying to get my bearings in the dark with my big camera bag on. I am also still a bit asleep given the hour of the day. I then hear my name shouted out by one of the runners from behind me – ‘Hi Michael! Hope you have a good morning walk’.

This totally took me by surprise, a good surprise.

There might be tall buildings in these photos, but Brisbane really is a small place. I say this not to belittle Brisbane as the ‘Big Country Town’, rather I enjoy that you can go to random places and unexpectedly meet friends.
